(Arctic ground squirrel)

The Arctic ground squirrel has tan and beige pelage with white specks along the dorsum (Brensike, 2000).  The Arctic ground squirrel's range is farther north than other ground squirrels, extending into Alaska, and the Yukon and Northwest Terrritoties of Canada (Feldhammer, 2003).
